Vegetarian Meat & Potato Pie
Ingredients 1 onion 2 carrots 4 medium potatoes 300g Quorn pieces 8 tsp gravy granules 2 tbsp HP sauce Salt & pepper |
Method
Roughly chop the onion
3/8” dice the carrots
Fry onion and carrots gently until soft but not brown (large Meyer pan) about 10 minutes
Put a large pan of salted water on to boil
Peel potatoes and dice into ½” chunks
Boil for about 10 minutes until cooking but still have bite
Make 1pt of gravy with the 8tsp granules
Put the Quorn into the onion and carrots, mix and cook for 2 minutes
Add the gravy and stir then turn to minimum and leave to cook
Add the drained potatoes to the gravy mix then pour it all into a large casserole dish and wet the edges of the dish before covering with shortcrust pastry
Bake for 30-40 minutes at 170
